With the family name variations encompassing More, Moor, Moore, Mowre and Mower, one can find many possible but not probable family members in the early records of Lynn, Essex co., MA: "Dorythy More, d. George" born in Lynn on 8d:11m:1658[4]. "James More and Ruth Pinnion married in Lynn on 28d:10m:1657"[5]. "James Moore of Hammersmith", who died in 1659[6]. His Hammersmith address indicates he was sent over to work in the Iron Works. "Sara More and Eleazer Giles married in Lynn of 25d:11m:1664"[5] and a "Joanna Mowre and William Williams, int. of marriage on July 31, 1699" she was probably a daughter of Samuell[3].
The proven branch rose from the Richard Mower a simple, emigrant Devonshire mariner to one of prominence and eminence
in the the City of Lynn, Essex co., MA. A quintessential illustration of the classic American Dream.
