BIRTH John was born on 9d:1m(March):1651/2 in Malden, Middlesex co., MA[13,102].
DEATH & BURIAL He died in Malden, Middlesex co., MA on 16 December 1703; he was 51 years, 9 months & 6 days according to his gravestone at Malden, Middlesex co., MA[13,16,103,104]. His death record tells that he was "killed with a limb of a tree of his one [own] falling".
RESIDENCE & REAL ESTATE Although he lived in Malden, Middlesex co., MA all his life, he also owned real estate in Charlestown, Suffolk co., MA. In 1695, he bought 8 acres there from W. Rand. In 1698/9, he purchased 100 acres from Abraham Hill. He made the same deal -- 100 acres, plus "rights" -- in 1699. That same year, he bought 6 acres of marsh land on the Mystic River "near P. Fowle's island of sedge" from T. White & Joseph Sweetser and sold 1.5 acres of land to S. Sweetser. Finally, he sold 6 acres of woods to John Tufts in 1699-1700[104].
MARRIAGE Circa 1676 when John was 23, he married Elizabeth STOWERS, daughter of Richard STOWERS & Hannah FROST, in Charlestown, Suffolk co., MA[13,105,106,107,108,109].

CHILDREN 27. i. John SPRAGUE John was born on 28 July 1685 in Malden, Middlesex co., MA[102,104].
28. ii. Stower SPRAGUE We currently have no more information about him.
29. iii. Abiah SPRAGUE Abiah was born on 21 August 1687 in Malden, Middlesex co., MA[102,104] and married W. BODMAN.
30. iv. Mary SPRAGUE Mary was born on 27 November 1689 in Malden, Middlesex co., MA[102,104] and married Nathaniel TUFTS.
