BIRTH LaForrest was born on 21 March 1895 in Portsmouth, Rockingham co., NH.[3,11,24,63,64]
DEATH Laforrest Leroy died in Weymouth, Norfolk co., MA on 12 August 1981; he was 86.[65].
Cause of death was acute congestive heart failure after four years of arteriosclerotic heart disease. He also had Parkinson's Disease[65]. Here is a transcription of his obituary.
BURIAL He was buried on 15 August 1981 in lot 1624, section 25 of the Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree, Norfolk co., MA.[65]
OCCUPATION He had a Grammar School Education and all his working life, LaForrest was a Machinist with Walter Baker Chocolate, Dorchester Lower Mills, Suffolk co., MA - retiring with top seniority.[11] In fact, Walter Baker is where he met his wife, who was a Candy Wrapper there.
PUBLIC SERVICE AND ORGANIZATIONS LaForrest was a life member of the Macedonia Masonic Lodge, Milton, MA.[66]
CHURCH MEMBERSHIP LaForrest was a former sexton of the First Baptist Church.[66]
RESIDENCES At the time of his marriage in 1918, LaForrest was listed as living at 20 Vose Street, Boston, Suffolk co., Massachusetts[68].
By 1920, he and Esther lived at 45 Mallet Street, Boston, Suffolk co., Massachusetts[67].
By the time of his death, he was living at 40 Hilda Street, Quincy, Norfolk co., Massachusetts[65]. He and his family lived at 45 Mallet Street (at the time of son Walter's birth)[67] and at 40 Hilda Street in Quincy all through the 1960s and 1970s.

MARRIAGE He married Esther HOLST, daughter of John Oscar HOLST & Augusta Matilda SVENSSON, on 31 December 1918 at the home of her parents Mr. & Mrs. John Oscar Holst at 12 Huntoon Street in Dorchester, Suffolk co., Massachusetts. by the Reverend Alan A. Rideout, 69 Richmond Street, of the Blaney Memorial Baptist Church. Marriage was officially recorded on 2 January 1919[3,11,62,64,67,68,69,70].
