BIRTH & WILL Edward was born in 1606 in Corsham Parish, Salisbury, Wiltshire, England[1,2,3] and died after 1688 -- perhaps in 1692; he was 82[2]. He was baptized in Corsham Parish, Salisbury, Wiltshire, England on 27 December 1606.
MIGRATION Edward is the emigrant. He supposedly sailed with the James, Mr. William Cooper, master, from Southampton to New England in 1635 with his wife Joanna and sons. They are not on the ship's passenger list. But his brother Archeleus is as "Hercules Woodman of Malford, mercer"[24].
FREEMAN Edward took the Oath of Freeman on 25 May 1636 in Newbury, Essex co., MA[7,8,9].
MARRIAGE By 1628 or so when Edward was 22, he married Joanna SALWAY/BARTELL, in England ­ most likely in Corsham Parish, Salisbury, Wiltshire[2,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23]. She was perhaps born in 1614 and and died in or after 1688; she was 74[2].
