"Rough marsh at Cow bridge which was brought of Thomas Dickinson and John Scales, 20li."[15]
Before 1649 John married Susannah [JARRAT]/[Amy RUSSELL?], in Rowley, Essex co., MA[6,11,12,13]. She died in 1683 in Rowley, Essex co., MA and was buried on 13 June 1683 in Rowley, Essex co., MA as "Scales, Susanna, w. John" - thus John died AFTER this in January of 1684[4].
