This is a completely different William Sargent/Mary Sargent family from the one in the Essex co., MA area at the same time, also with William Sargent/Mary Sargent who married Allen BREED. It is easy to confuse the two. For my purposes, this family is designated as the "Sargent2" family and that of The Reverend William Sargent, marrying into the Breed family is known as simply the "Sargent" family.

Name variations include: Sargant, Sargent, Sargeant, Sarjent, Saregant, Srjeant, Sarjeant, Seargent, Sergant, Sergeant, Serjant, Sergent, Saigent and Sargante.
