BIRTH, DEATH & BURIAL Robert was born on 18 March 1660 in Lynn, Essex co., MA[65] and died in Lynn, Essex co., MA after 18 March 1702; he was 42[65,129]. His death record reads "Potter, Robert, ___, 1702, a. 41 y.". Robert is buried in Old or Western Burial Ground in Lynn, Essex co., MA.
PARENTAGE ISSUES His parentage is confirmed by the death record of his sister Sarah Potter on 29 September 1688 as "Potter, Sarah, d. Nicolas, father of Robert"[66].

There is an "Elizabeth daughter of Roberd, jr. & Martha" in the Lynn, Essex co., MA birth records with a birth date of 4 May 1704. This is clearly a mistake. Robert had been dead for 2 years and why would they name a second daughter Elizabeth when the first was still alive? It is clear that this is NOT a daughter of Robert, Jr. and Martha.

RESIDENCE Robert lived on Boston Street in Lynn, Essex co., MA.
MARRIAGE On 9 January 1681/2 when Robert was 20, he married Martha HALL, daughter of Edward HALL & Sarah [surname not known], in Lynn, Essex co., MA[1,15,37,45,73,130,131,132,133]. Martha was born in 1660[1,65] and died in Lynn, Essex co., MA on 7 July 1709; she was 49[1,65,134]. She, too, is buried in Old or Western Burial Ground in Lynn, Essex co., MA.

CHILDREN 96. i. Ephriam POTTER Ephriam was born on 5 April 1683 in Lynn, Essex co., MA[135]. On 23 November 1708 when Ephriam was 25, he married Sarah WITT, in Lynn, Essex co., MA[45].
97. ii. Martha POTTER Martha was born on 21 June 1685 in Lynn, Essex co., MA[135] and died in Lynn, Essex co., MA on 17 May 1710; she was 24[134].
98. iii. Sarah POTTER Sarah was born on 12 April 1687 in Lynn, Essex co., MA[139] and married Thomas BURNAP.
99. iv. Ruth1 POTTER Ruth1 was born on 17 February 1688 in Lynn, Essex co., MA[135] and died on 26 February 1688 in Lynn, Essex co., MA[66].
100. v. Ruth2 POTTER Ruth2 was born on 6 March 1690 in Lynn, Essex co., MA and married Nathaniel COLLINS.

102. vii. Robert POTTER Robert was born on 11 October 1694 in Lynn, Essex co., MA[139] and died of consumption in Lynn, Essex co., MA on 20 January 1732/3; he was 39[200,201]. On 29 November 1721 when Robert was 27, he married Marcy BREED, in Lynn, Essex co., MA. Marcy was born in 1701, as estimated from her death information. She died in Lynn, Essex co., MA on 6 June 1750 as "Potter, Mercy..a. 49 y."[129].
103. viii. Rebecca POTTER Rebecca was born on 24 October 1696 in Lynn, Essex co., MA[139] and married Jonathon COLLINS.
104. ix. Mary POTTER Mary was born on 26 March 1699 in Lynn, Essex co., MA[135] and died in Lynn, Essex co., MA on 26 May 1700; she was 1[202].
105. x. Nathaniel POTTER Nathaniel was born on 16 July 1701 in Lynn, Essex co., MA[139].
