BIRTH William was possibly born in Kittery, York co., ME as part of the Mitchell clan from that area. Based upon his marriage date of 1648, he was probably born circa 1628/1633.
DEATH William died on 16 July 1654 in Newbury, Essex co., MA as "Mitchill, Will[iam]"[8].
MARRIAGE On 7 November 1648 William married Mary SAWYER, in Newbury, Essex co., MA[1,2,3,4,5,6,7]. Torrey lists their marriage as "Michell, William and Mary Sayer/Sawyer". The Newbury, Essex co., MA vital records list them under "Michill, William and Mary Sayer".

3. ii. John MITCHELL John was born on 21 May 1651 in Newbury, Essex co., MA under "Michill, John"[13] and died there as "Mitchil, John" on 27 December 1731; he was 80[14]. On 20 May 1680 when John was 28, he first married Hannah SPAFORD as "Mitchill, John", in Newbury, Essex co., MA[9]. Hannah died on 24 April 1689 in Newbury, Essex co., MA as "Mitchill, Hanah"[8]. On 15 November 1697 when John was 46, he second married Constance MOOERS, in Newbury, Essex co., MA as "Mitchill, John"[9].
4. iii. William MITCHELL William was born on 1 March 1652 in Newbury, Essex co., MA as "Michill, William"[13]. A duplicate record says he was born in 1653.
5. iv. Elizabeth MITCHELL Elizabeth was born on 15 March 1655 in Newbury, Essex co., MA as "Mitchill, Elizabeth"[10].
