In Charlestown, he drew lot #22, 6 acres of land, in 1681 and was granted 3 cow commons in 1682[12]. That same year, he deeded to his granddaughter Mary Lynde of Charlestown, Suffolk co., MA the house in Charlestown which she occupied. The boundaries for this land were not given & the "north end of [the] stable" was reserved for Ensign Thomas and his sons Joseph & John "to put horses [in] when they came to town". She also received the use of the cow common and 3 acres in Dirty Marsh; as well as 12.5 acres of woods that had been bought from J. Penticost, 3 more acres in Dirty Marsh; 1 cow common on the the south side of the Mystic River (now occupied by her mother, but to go to Mary at her mother's demise); and 5 more cow commons on the south side of the Mystic Bridge[12]. In 1685, he received a land grant of 21 acres in Charlestown[12]. |
| MARRIAGE | By 1647 when Thomas was 32, he married Elizabeth TUFTS, in Charlestown, Suffolk co., MA[1,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19]. Elizabeth was born circa 1612 in England. Like Thomas, this birth year is estimated from her given age at death. She died in Malden, Middlesex co., MA as "wf. of [Ensign] Thomas [81 y.] on 2 September 1693; she was 81[11]. |

Anna was born on 19 May 1688 in Malden, Middlesex co., MA[39]. iv. Joseph2 was born on 2 September 1690 in Malden, Middlesex co., MA[39]. v. Sarah was born on 12 November 1694 in Malden, Middlesex co., MA[48] and died in Malden, Middlesex co., MA on 14 October 1731; she was 36[49]. vi. Rebecca was born on 14 July 1696 in Malden, Middlesex co., MA[50]. vii. Lydia was born on 25 March 1700 in Malden, Middlesex co., MA[46]. viii. Thomas was born on 21 April 1702 in Malden, Middlesex co., MA[51]. ix. Hannah was born on 21 May 1702 in Malden, Middlesex co., MA[52]. This date is probably an error in the vital records. |
