BIRTH Mary was born on 22 April 1744 in Marblehead, Essex co., MA[5].
DEATH She died in Salem, Essex co., MA on 16 September 1808; she was 64[6,7]. Her death record reads: "Mary (Johnson) of Marblehead, wid. Joseph, formerly w. ______ Newell, dysentary Sept 16, 1808, ae. 64 y." and that she died as "a very corpulent woman"[8].
MARRIAGE #1 On 29 June 1766 when Mary was 22, she first married David NEWHALL Jr., son of David NEWHALL Sr. & Mary BURCHSTED, in Salem, Essex co., MA[9,10,11]. An intention of marriage was filed on 29 June 1766 in Lynn, Essex co., MA. The original is in possession of the family[13].
