BIRTH Nehemiah was born circa 1640 or 1644 in Salem or Beverly, Essex co., MA[8,26,37]. This birth year is based in part on a deposition made in the November term of the 1677 Salem Quarterly Court, when Nehemiah was supposedly aged about thirty years. Torrey says that Nehemiah was born in 1640, but hedges his bet with a "?" after that entry.
DEATH Regardless, Nehemiah died in Beverly, Essex co., MA on 12 February 1693/4. Nehemiah's death record reads: "Nehemiah Gover, aged about fifty years. Departed this life on ye twelfth Day of February, AnoD 1693/4"[5,8,37].
CHURCH MEMBERSHIP Unlike his father, Nehemiah was clearly a churchgoing man. All their children's births were recorded in Records of the First Parish Unitarian Church in the vital records of Beverly, Essex co., MA.
MARRIAGE On 2d:10m(December):1674 (1676?) when Nehemiah was 34, he married Ruth HASKELL, daughter of Captain William HASKELL & Mary TIBBOT, in Beverly, Essex co., MA[8,26,27,38,39,40,41,42,43,44,45] by the Deputy Governor of Massachusetts, Mr. Simons. Their Gloucester, Essex co., MA marriage record reads: "Hascall, Ruth, d. William, and Nehemiah Grover, s. Edmund, of Beverly, at Beverly". Another record reads: "Nehemiah Grover, s. of Edmund Grover: of Beverly: was Married unto Ruth Haskall, the Daughter William Hascall of Gloster by the Deputie Governour Mr. Simons: the 2nd Day of the tenth moneth in the yr. 1674."

CHILDREN 11. i. Ruth GROVER Ruth was born in 1677 in Beverly, Essex co., MA and baptized in Beverly, Essex co., MA on 14 October 1677[47].
12. ii. Edmund GROVER Edmund was born in 1679 in Beverly, Essex co., MA and baptized in Beverly, Essex co., MA on 4 May 1679[47].
13. iii. Mary GROVER Mary was born on 19 April 1681 in Beverly, Essex co., MA[47].
14. iv. William GROVER William was born in 1683 in Beverly, Essex co., MA. At the age of 1, William was baptized in Beverly, Essex co., MA in 16d:1m(March):1683/4[51].

16. vi. Nehemiah GROVER Nehemiah was born in 1688 in Beverly, Essex co., MA and died in Beverly, Essex co., MA on 28 March 1694; "aged about 6 y."[5]. Nehemiah was baptized in Beverly, Essex co., MA on 5 August 1688[47].
17. vii. Josiah GROVER Josiah was born in 1692 in Beverly, Essex co., MA and was baptized in Beverly, Essex co., MA on 24 April 1692[47].
