BIRTH & DEATH Samuel was born on 4 November 1686 in Hampton, Rockingham co., NH[1,26,27]. The Brown Book gives his birth month as "September". The Genealogical Dictionary of Maine & New Hampshire gives it as "November". Samuel died in Hampton Falls, Rockingham co., NH on 14 January 1772; he was 85[1].
MILITARY He was in Lieutenant Joseph Swett's company in the Queen Anne's War[1].
RESIDENCE Samuel lived "on the homestead of his father and grandfather" in Hampton, Rockingham co., NH[1].
MARRIAGE Samuel married Elizabeth MELOON, daughter of Luke MELOON & Hannah CLIFFORD. There are apparently details on this couple in the New England Historic & Genealogical Register, volume 6 (July 1852): p. 233.

CHILDREN 19. i. Mehitabel BROWN Mehitabel was born in 1709 in Hampton, Rockingham co., NH[1] and died in Hampton, Rockingham co., NH on 3 May 1790; she was 81[1]. She never married.
20. ii. Stephen BROWN Stephen was born in in 1712 in Hampton, Rockingham co., NH and died in Little River, North Hampton, Rockingham co., NH in September 1792; he was 80[1]. Stephen married Deborah LUCY, who was of New Castle, Rockingham co., NH[1].

22. iv. Zachariah BROWN Zachariah was born in in 1716 in Hampton, Rockingham co., NH[1] and died in Hampton, Rockingham co., NH on 1 January 1788; he was 72[1]. Zachariah married Anne LEAVITT[1].
23. v. Sarah BROWN Sarah was born in in 1718 in Hampton, Rockingham co., NH[1] and died in New Hampshire on 17 February 1769; she was 51[1]. Sarah never married.
24. vi. Samuel BROWN Samuel was born in on 20 January 1720 in Hampton, Rockingham co., NH[1] and died in Hampton, Rockingham co., NH on 1 September 1790; he was 70[1]. Samuel first married Mary J. PHILBRICK and second married Elizabeth JOHNSON[1].
25. vii. Elizabeth BROWN Elizabeth was born in in 1722 in Hampton, Rockingham co., NH[1]. She married John GARLAND and they settled in Moultonboro, Carroll co., NH[1]. John might be same individual as: "John GARLAND - Justice of the Peace for Barrington, Strafford Co, NH - June 1786 to June 1787"[37].
