MARRIAGE | Circa 1401, William married[2,3,5] Joan FITZ ALAN[1,2,3,4] of Arundel, England[3]. Joan was the daughter of Sir John FITZ ALAN, the first Baron of Arundel, and Eleanor MALTRAVERS and the widow of Sir William DE BRIEN. Joan died on 1 September 1404[2,3]. |

Thomas was born circa 1401[8] and died on 15 October 1444; he was 43[8,9].
He was his father's heir and thus was Lord of Echyngham, Sussex, England[8].
His descendants can be traced through Weis' The Magna Charta Sureties, lines 88-10+ & 88A-10+ and Weis' Ancestral Roots, line 59-36+ Thomas' will was dated 20 August 1444 and proved at Lambeth on 28 October 1444[10]. Thomas first married Agnes DE SHOYSWELL, daughter of John DE SHOYSWELL. In 1415-1424 when Thomas was 14, he second married Margaret KNYVET, daughter of Sir Thomas KNYVET & Joan OF NORFOLK[8]. Margaret died after 1467, when she was noted as "still living"[8].
