DEATH He died in 1590; he was 58[1].
RESIDENCE Thomas and his family lived in Dowrish House[1], a manor in Sandford, Devonshire, England. Sandford is about 8 miles NW of Exeter, Devonshire, England[2].
MARRIAGE He married Anne FARRINGDON[1,3,4], daughter of Charles FARRINGDON & Margery STUCKLEY.

CHILDREN 2. i. Walter DOWRISH, Esq. Walter was the eldest and Thomas' heir[2]. He was named as a trustee in the inquisition which was held at Exeter Castle on 7 March, 42 Elizabeth (1599-1600) to enquire after his nephew George Gye, who was declared "an Ideot"[5].
3. ii. Hugh DOWRISH Hugh was Thomas' second son[2].
4. iii. Robert DOWRISH Robert was the third son[2].
5. iv. Elizabeth DOWRISH Elizabeth married John NORTHCOTT, gent., who was also named as a trustee in the inquisition concerning George Gye on 7 March, 42 Elizabeth (1599-1600)[5]. They were residents of Crediton, Devonshire, England[2].

7. vi. Anne or Jane DOWRISH She married William BODLEIGH, Esq. who was also named as a trustee in the inquisition concerning George Gye on 7 March, 42 Elizabeth (1599-1600)[5]. They lived in Dunscombe, Devonshire, England[2].
